Ten motors pulling different ways
Will drain the grid and move no train;
Their noise may shake the factory floor,
Yet all their force is spent in vain.
Give every hand a common aim,
Give every task a proper place;
Let information travel free,
And clear obstruction from the race.
A leader does not make all strength,
But turns it toward a useful end;
Direction makes the small grow great,
As streams become a river’s bend.
